Dear Mented Family,

This month marks nine years of Mented, and I honestly can’t believe I get to write those words.

What started as an idea—to create beauty products that actually showed up for women who had long been overlooked—has grown into something so much bigger than I could have imagined. And that’s because of you. Your trust, your loyalty, your feedback, your love for this brand… it’s the reason we’re here.

To celebrate this milestone we’re doing something extra special: 9 Days of Giveaways, in partnership with some of our very favorite brands. It’s our way of saying thank you for riding with us, supporting us, and believing in what Mented stands for. On a more personal note, I want to share something that feels important to say out loud.

Recently, I was diagnosed with alopecia areata, and I made the decision to shave off all of my hair. Hair has always been one of my personal centerpieces of beauty—something I loved, something that felt deeply me. Losing it has forced me to sit with what beauty really means, especially when something you once relied on to feel beautiful is suddenly gone.

And what I’ve come to understand, more deeply than ever, is that beauty was never about that one thing. Beauty is resilience. It’s self-trust. It’s showing up as you are, in whatever season you’re in. It’s honoring yourself at every age, every shade, every stage.

That realization has made me even more grateful that Mented exists. This brand has always been about expanding the definition of beauty, not narrowing it. And standing here nine years in, I feel more aligned with that mission than ever before.

Thank you for growing with us. Thank you for celebrating with us. And thank you for reminding me, over and over again, that beauty lives in so many forms.
